NEW COMMENTARY: "Why NATO Should Move Nuclear Weapons to Poland"

My most recent piece in The National Interest argues that United States (under the auspices of NATO) should extend its nuclear-sharing program to Poland.

After Polish President Andrzej Duda called for U.S. nuclear weapons on Polish soil, readers of Peter Doran’s Guns, Oil, and Freedom got an early look at the article’s core thesis last week.

Rather than representing a radical shift in America’s deterrence posture, I propose that it represents a natural and necessary evolution. Indeed, this should not be a controversial concept. Rather, it is an idea whose time has come. Read the full article here:
